HANDBALL DEVELOPMENT IN ASIA


The Asian Handball Federation (Asian Handball Federation) was formed in 1974, when the Asian Games took place in the city of Tehran. Then in 1976 this federation was officially confirmed in Kuwait.

Sheikh Fahid Al-Ahmad Al Sabah, who was appointed president, realized the importance of Handball games for teenagers in Asia. Sheikh Fahid obtained official approval to hold a Handball competition at the Asian Games held in Tehran.

The Asian Handball Federation was formed at that time and Sheikh Fahid was unanimously elected as the President of the federation. The person from Kuwait has become a person who has a big role in fostering solidarity and friendship among Asian countries through sports.

The Kuwaiti government generously provides financial and moral support to help A.H.F's survival. A.H.F headquarters is located / located in Kuwait. The President and A.H.F are always ready to serve countries that want to join forces and are also ready to help with anything possible to promote Handball games in Asian countries.

Members of the federation are starting to grow and new countries are starting to play this game. A.H.F also always has good relationships with I.H.F (International Handball Federation).

At the Asian Games held in 1986 in Seoul, South Korea, the Indoor Handball was a contested sport. And at the Asian Games, countries that succeeded in placing themselves in the order of Indoor Handball champions for men were as follows: South Korea, China and Japan.
